Hey, everyone! I'm a 21-year-old college student from Texas. Right now, I'm studying to teach high school History, which includes a lot of Psychology, Education and, of course, History classes! I'm so excited for the holidays, and granting wishes here has been a part of my holiday tradition for a couple of years now.

Here's my list:

1. Christmas/Holiday Cards: I love mail, especially from different states and places around the world. One of the most exciting things in a college student's life is actually having something to pull out of their wee little P.O. boxes, no matter how small!

2. Gratitude: Just sit down and be grateful for what you've got. I think the holiday season gets so hectic sometimes that we all (including me, for sure!) forget to be thankful for what we do have.

3. iTunes Gift Cards: I am absolutely addicted to mp3s and probably spend way too much on iTunes. Any amount would be greatly appreciated.

4. Anything homemade: I love homemade stuff! Ordaments, mix CDs, anything and everything!

5. Anything old: I'm a history major, and a complete nut for antiques. I love old photographs, especially, and postcards... just old things in general, really!

6. Target or Wal-Mart Giftcards: Well, I'm a college student, and groceries get really expensive. Having a little extra to buy something special would be awesome and much appreciated.

7. Anything from my Amazon Wish List: Used is awesome! I'm a huge fan of hand-me-downs.

8. Donate to your local animal shelter: I'm a big sucker for animals, and homeless dogs and cats deserve a wonderful holiday season, too.

9. Prayers/good thoughts/etc.: Finals time is very, very stressful around here. I'm really trying to stay positive about finishing everything I need to before the semester ends, but a good thought or prayer sent this way would be much appreciated. I have finals coming up, of course, but I'm also trying to get through my first checkpoint to enter the Austin Teacher Program at my college, which is very important to me. Prayers in that general direction would be amazing.

10. Christmas Ordaments: I just got my own tree, and I'd love to have interesting and original things to hang on it.

Expect a card from me! I second you on how those sad empty college student boxes are.
Animal shelter...
I just donated to the Oakland Animal Shelter. I completely agree that its an important and worth while cause. I think that people dont realize how hard it is for shelters to make ends meet, and the importance of donations of money, food, and above all, your time:)
