My '09 wishlist! ♥

Hello everyone! My name is Kimberly and I'm from Ohio. I'm 18 years-old and my family has never celebrated the holidays, by choice. I've always loved Christmas just as much as anyone who celebrates it so this year I was hoping to maybe see what it was like to actually experience Christmas for the first time. I was hoping to be employed by Christmas time so that I could buy myself things, instead of asking others, but unfortunately that just hasn't happened for me. I just found this wonderful community today, so this is my first time posting ♥ ... and here is my wishlist:

1) Postcards: I don't mind where from, I'd love postcards!

2) Notebooks / Journals: I love writing and keeping a journal, and sometimes boring spiral notepads just don't cut it.

3) Target, Olive Garden, or Sephora gift cards: I absolutely love these places so a gift card from any of them would make my year. Honestly! ♥

4) Paid LJ account / icons: I've had my LJ account for nearly 4 years and I've only ever had basic, so a paid account / icons would be wonderful!

5) Books: I'm a huge fan of anything paranormal and weather / tornado related (non-fiction) when it comes to reading. Here are a few books I'm interested in:
Seeking Spirits
The Complete Approach
Also, there is this author named Chris Woodyard and she writes this series titled Haunted Ohio... and I would love ANY of those books if possible!

6) Anything LGBTQ / NO H8 related: Stickers, flags, buttons, books, movies, etc... anything. Recommendations for books and movies are also welcome!

7) Surprise me!

8) Well wishes: This year has been a difficult year for a lot of people. Just telling someone that you love them, accept them, appreciate them, etc. can make a world of difference for them. So, please... let someone know you care.

Contact me at - snowpeach@ymail.com or just PM me for my address. Thank you :)
Happy to send a postcard. Please email love@u.northwestern.edu with your address and repeat what I said I'd give you... it's the opnly way I manage to keep track :_P
I don't know if you've ever read it, but Empress of the World by Sara Ryan is a very good book for number 6. It's YA, but it's very very good and worth picking up, even if it's at the library.
Aw, thank you so much! I just checked and my local library actually has it :) I'll definitely check it out!
I have a pretty journal that I can send you! Drop me a line at dakotawitch @ gmail dot com with "Holiday Wishes: Journal" in the Subject and your addy in the body.

Feel free to stop by my LJ and look around. I'm queer, and there are a lot of queer folks on my Flist, and I talk about queer activism *alot*. I can also recommend some books and things, but don't want to overwhelm your comment space -- if you want some recs, remind me in your email.
Thank you so much! I sent an email ♥

That sounds great; Seems like something I'll be interested in. I'll definitely stop by your journal and take a look :)
Totes up for a posty-card! And a surprise or two. :) Hit me up with your addy -> tattooedsappho @ gmail dot com. (put LJ Holiday Wish or something like that in the subject so you don't get send to the bottomless depths of my trash folder)
I think I can handle one or two of these ... though you'll have to wait and be surprised to find out what. ;-D

I'll email you for an addy?
