Holiday wishes from Atlanta, Georgia....:)

Hey everyone!!

I'm Alayna, a 29-year-old artist, performer, designer, and event planner (I know, Jill of All Trades!) who relocated to Atlanta, GA from NYC a few years back. I've been a member of this community for 3 years, and I think it's a wonderful way to bring random acts of kindness into the lives of others. It makes the world a smaller and friendlier place, and is good to be reminded that the small things count. :)

Here are my wishes. I am one of those people who thinks that really, I have most of what I need in the world, and I mostly enjoy the little things, so I will not ask anyone to send me a Wii. ;P :

1)Christmas cards, postcards, and other random mail:I am one of those old-fashioned people who absolutely *loves* mail. I'm always excited when something randomly appears in my mailbox. It's a really personalised, creative form of communication that just gets lost in the digital age sometimes. I also have walls in my bedroom that are decorated with photos, postcards, ticket stubs, etc., and they are nice additions.

2)Girly stuff: I absolutely love makeup, body sprays, shower gels, all things girly...especially those with glitter. :) Anything glam, dramatic, unique, or different, I'll probably adore it. I'm a big fan of the idea that one girl's trash is another's treasure, so stick that obnoxious eyeshadow you hate in an envelope and mail it to me! *laughs*

3)Posters, art, and wall decorations of all sorts: I have all these blank, empty, drab walls in my apartment that need a personal touch! Help! :)

4)Scarves, tights, bags, and other accessories: I love it all. The only redeeming quality about winter is that you get to wear scarves and funky-coloured-tights.

5)Candles and other stuff that makes things smell good: I have a dog and a roommate, so it's a neverending battle to make my apartment smell fresh and inviting.

6)Stuff you made yourself: Jewelry, mix CD's, hand-drawn cards, just about anything someone took the time to make just for me is a lovely thing to receive.

7)Chocolate: This one is pretty self-explanatory. OMP!

8)Stuff from where you live, but I don't: I'm a pretty well-travelled person, but I'm still fascinated by the world and other places, and how other people live in those places. Whether you live in Indiana or Israel, I'd love to receive something from your little space in the world that's unique to where you live. :)

9)Books that have made an impact: I'm fond of passing my favourite books along to someone else I think might somehow be touched by reading it. I love to read, and need to be encouraged to make more time to do so.

10)All things British: I lived in London for a bit, and am often reminded of things I miss. One specific, material item I am looking for is a scarf with the British flag on it. I used to have one that was tragically dropped in a club, and never found a replacement.

Leave me a comment and I'll share my address with anyone who may like to write...I'd rather not post it here, and not sure if we are supposed to, in any case! If you write/send me something, I will most likely respond, so leave a link to your wishlist, if you'd like!:) Happy holidays, and I look forward to being able to grant some wishes!:)
  • Current Mood: cheerful cheerful
I have a ton of brand new makeup I can share! From what you said, I'm guessing you like brights? Drop me a PM with your address and I'll send you some pretties; shadows and lipsticks and stuff. It's all NYX stuff, and unused. (they had a huge lot sale a couple months ago and I went a bit crazy and will *never* be able to use it all! lol)

And since you asked, my wishlist is here: http://community.livejournal.com/holiday_wishes/1580778.html

Merry Christmas!!
I'd be happy to grant a couple of these wishes! send me an email with your mailing address to foolishdream@gmail.com :)
