It's that time again...

Hi! I'm Taylor, and I'm a Junior university student outside of Chicago, IL. I'm studying psychology and music, and hope to go into criminal profiling or music therapy someday. :) It's my third year at holiday_wishes, and REALLY excited for Christmas! My family has had a hard time in the last few years with divorce complications and such. I really want to give them a good Christmas. I've been reading all the posts on here about the hard times others are facing. I understand, and I really am thinking/praying for all of you. I'm hoping I can grant some of your wishes, too! Here's my list...

1) Tea or coffee. I'm a HUGE tea and coffee drinker. If you just have a few spare tea bags lying around (the weirder the better) or those small coffee packets, that would be amazing!

2) British things. I'm a self-professed Anglophile. Amongst the many other British things I enjoy, I especially love Doctor Who and the band Coldplay. Anything having to do with British culture, or these things would be great to get.

3) Anything having to do with Japanese culture. This one's for my little brother. He LOVES anything having to do with Japan; food, games, toys. I know it would really make him happy to have something unique and crazy for Christmas.

4) Vintage clothing/jewelry. I'm a vintage shopper who likes coordinating old clothes into new outfits. I also enjoy costume jewelry. Any old thing your thinking of taking to Goodwill/Salvation Army would be excellent.

5) Music! I LOVE music, and am always on the look out for more recommendations of what to listen to. My tastes are fairly eclectic. I would say I pretty much like anything. Music recs are love!

6) Stationery/journaling stuff. I love to write and just express myself. I'm always looking for really unique looking paper or durable pens to last me. (Paperchase is one of my favorite companies for this.) Even recommendations on where to buy good supplies is appreciated!

7) Neat, free things you can send over the internet. I know SO many people want to give during this season, but have limited funds or may be poor college students like myself. Any cool links to internet game sites, fic recs, etc. is appreciated. The fandoms that I usually read fic for are Doctor Who and Supernatural.

8) Ornaments that have a hunting/fishing theme. This one is for my dad. He used to be a big hunter and fisher, and he loves Christmas ornaments that have to do with both. We used to have some, but in our move, I don't know where they went to. I know he would really love it if he had some of these types of ornaments on our tree this year. I've been on the hunt, but have had minimal luck so far.

9) Anything having to do with Kurt Cobain or Dave Grohl. My 19 year old brother idolizes Kurt Cobain and also Dave Grohl. He's going to have a hard Christmas this year having to do with personal issues in his life. I want to give him something AMAZING. I've rounded up a few ideas, but I know there are always ideas from everyone out there that exceed the level of amazingness of something I could ever come up with. Suggestions for gifts are especially appreciated.

10) Do something nice for someone! Try to keep this going ALL THE TIME, and not just at Christmas. I know it's hard for all of us to focus on things when we have crazy problems in our lives and even bigger amounts of stress to deal with. Just remember, that someone out there is probably having a bad day, too.

If you'd like to contact me/ask for my address my e-mail is tmariad88(at)gmail(dot)com.

That's all from me! Have a great Christmas/Chanukah/Kwanzaa/Yule/Holiday everyone. <3
SUPERNATURAL. Oh my gosh, that series is made of SO much win. I don't have fics, but would pictures of my Castiel cosplay and links to awesome artists who draw fanart for it do?
I sent you an email, but for number 10:

I volunteer for Underdog ResQ, taking photos of their adoptable dogs. I also photograph dogs and cats at a Brattleboro, VT shelter. I am known for doing nice things to others, so much so that it's often led me to being a bit of a doormat. :-/ Still, it's integral to who I am to do nice things for other people because I feel that we can only be happy if we are truly connected with our world.

Sappy, I know, but there it is. :)
Awww. I'm sorry that your good deeds have given way to people treating you like that. I'm really happy, though that you continue to do it and help others. :D Whoot!
Oh my goodness! That would be so amazing. :) My address is 3230 Sycamore Rd. DeKalb, IL 60115. Thanks again! Do you happen to have a wishlist lying around somewhere that I could take a look at, too? :)
Commenting here, so you don't think you have a creepy stalker person (re vgift). I don't read fic in those fandoms (#7), but I hope showflake cookie at least made your day a bit brighter. :)

As for music, have you heard new Pearl Jam album "Backspace"? It's really upbeat and fun.
BTW, as a Who fan you might enjoy some Christmas Doctor Who music. :)

Happy holidays!
Here's a free thing - If you have a gmail account, gmail will send one actual snail mail card to someone of your choosing. :D So if you don't have an account you might want to go get one.
Something free and super fun - my brother got me hooked on a gaming site www.kongregate.com , which offers access to loads of free games. :)
Would you be willing to accept a .zip file of mp3s? I can't afford stamps, but would love to share music with you. :)

Also, for game sites, I love Ninja Kiwi. Their Bloons games are very.. therapeutic. Just something about popping massive amounts of bloons that makes me chill out. XD
MP3s would be amazing! Thank you so much. :) The game site also looks amazing. I love balloon popping games. It sounds so fun!
Spiffy! I'll get that out in the next few days. It'll be coming in from amethystfirefly at gmail dot com. ^^
I'll send some tea! Drop me a line at dakotawitch @ gmail dot com with "Holiday Wishes: Tea" in the subject and your address in the body. Let me know if you prefer loose or bagged tea. I have some TeaSacs if you want to try loose tea but don't have an infuser.
