I have participated in this community for the past two years. I made a personal goal to grant 10 wishes before I posted my own list. Much like everyone else, my family has had a pretty rough year. My father lost his job last November and it's been just me and my mom working to pay all of our medical bills (mom had surgery 4 days before Christmas last year) and dental bills. For the past 4 years I've been saving on a trip to NYC. I had to spend most of that money on bills, so my aunt took me with her when she went in September. It was the most amazing place I've ever been to.

Without further ado, here are my 10 wishes...
1.a job for my dad. He's been pretty depressed lately and just wants to work.

2.Anything to do with the state of Texas. Both my parents are from Texas and my mom loves those "Don't mess with Texas" t-shirts. Magnets, t-shirts (L or XL), postcards, stickers, ornaments, anything really. They'd love it!

3.Be nice to your cashier, I am a cashier and understand the stress that everyone faces especially at this time of the year. A smile, a thank you and a little patience can go along way.

4.Donate to the Humane Society of Skagit Valley or Animal shelter of your choice. I've worked for the Humane Society of Skagit Valley for 5 years and this year has been one of the toughest. We rescued 443 small dogs from a local puppy mill. You can donate via paypal on the main page or by sending a check to 18841 Kelleher Road, Burlington Washington 98233. Make checks out to Humane Society of Skagit Valley.

5.Be there for someone. I'm pretty sure we all know someone who is in need. Whether its emotional support, an elderly person needing help around the house or just a friend. Please just be there.

6.Christmas card or post card from anywhere. I love non-junkmail/bills!!!

7. Take a look at my etsy shop and heart something or buy something. Or just tell me what you think. http://www.sacreddarling.etsy.com *edited to include link*

8.Stop what you are doing and hug those closest to you. I asked for this last year and it got a great response. I truely believe in the wonderful power of a good hug. Do it! Its fun and free!

9.Amazon.com wish list used is perfect. I am not picky at all! link

10.BIG STRETCH WISH: I would love some Marc by Marc Jacobs fingerless gloves. I have one pair that I bought back in September when I visited NYC. I especially love how they are cut longer and are only $5! I would love to have more as I tend to loose everything and the ones I have are already have holes in them(shouldn't have worn them to work). If you live in NYC and wouldn't mind going to the Marc by Marc Jacobs Accessories store on Bleeker St. I would gladly reimburse you for them. I'd love any color combination.
These gloves or even this bag. I will also reimburse you for shipping.

3 and 5- always :)
7- I'm obsessed with Etsy lately. Link to your account? :)
And expect some sort of letter or postcard :)
Yes, please post your esty address. I love browsing on etsy.
I can do 3, 5, and 7 :)

I will add you to my christmas card list as well!
I'm going to send you a Christmas card but I would really like to see your Etsy account and your Amazon wishlist as well. You need to link to these things, silly!

tinyurl.com/atlantiic if you would like to check out my wishlist as well. Merry holidays!
Yay! I'd love to send you some surprises, but I'm also in the same boat as the above posters...I love etsy! Let's have the link to your shop! :D
I think we would all pretty much like the link to your etsy account. :]

#3, always. I wasn't a cashier for a retail store, but I was a do-it-all fast food worker. Nothing brings you down like people giving you a hard time around the holidays for things you can't control.

If I can get more Christmas cards (gone through a box of 32 already), I'd love to send you a card. I'll put you on the list. :]
If the link posted above by a commenter is your etsy site, I like the elegant piece. I'll be getting married later this year and while I've found the dress, I've found nothing else.

I'll keep your site in mind. :]
id like to grant your wishes please email me with a link to your wishlist and your address: janeknox01@hotmail.com

thank you,
I'd love to send you some Texas cheer. Will you drop me a line at dakotawitch at gmail dot com with "Holiday Wishes: Texas Cheer" in the Subject line and your addy in the body? (I know you're addy's here, but I track my wishes through my email...) I'm also making extra effort to be kind to retail folks this holiday, and to be there for people who need support. I asked my cashier at Target yesterday how she was doing and she was all, "You're the first person to ask that. Thank you."
