Merry Christmas everyone! Here is my wish list (:

Donations: I'd just really love to be able to give my family as good of a Christmas as they give me every year. I'm a struggling college student, and anything would help! My paypal address is :)

Paid LJ time

Mail: I love letters, cards, everything! If you'd like to send anything, let me know in a comment, and I'll give you my contact info :)

PS3 Slim: It can be used, or whatever. My boyfriend just got a job after being unemployed for a year, and I'd really love to reward him with a ps3 slim, but I can't afford it.

I absolutely love cooking and baking around the holidays, and I'd like some new things to try. Send me your best recipes, and I promise to try them out.

Graphics: I'm absolutely obsessed with graphics, especially icons, banners, layouts, etc. If you're interested in making things for me, let me know, and I'll fill out any forms you have :)

Twilight/New Moon stuff: absolutely anything related.

True Blood stuff: I have first season on DVD and books 1-8, but I'm open to anything else :)

anything you've loved and think I should read. Some that I'm really looking for are books 9 and above from the true blood series, my sisters keeper by jodie picoult. I love romance novels, especially Nicholas sparks.

Movies: Movie tickets, Dvd's, Blu rays, whatever. I love movies, and my collection has dimmed a lot over the past years because I've been selling them to pay bills.

Don't feel obligated to fulfill any of these, but if you do decide to, I'll be eternally thankful. <3
Rosemary pine nut shortbread :)
2 cups white whole-wheat flour (or unbleached all-purpose flour)
scant teaspoon fine-grain sea salt
1 cup unsalted butter, at room temperature
2/3 cup (natural cane) sugar
zest of one lemon
2/3 cup pine nuts, toasted and loosely chopped
1 1/4 teaspoons fresh rosemary, finely chopped
Combine flour and salt in a small bowl and whisk to combine.
In a separate large bowl or stand mixer cream the butter until light and fluffy. Add the sugar and lemon zest and mix again, then add the flour mixture, nuts, and rosemary and mix until the dough goes just past the crumbly stage, and begins to really clump together (you don't want to over mix it, but under mixing will make the dough seem a bit dry, which can make it more difficult to handle). Turn the dough out onto a floured work surface. Knead the dough just once or twice to bring it together, then divide it into a ball and flatten into a disk 1 inch thick. Wrap in plastic wrap and refrigerate for 15 minutes.
Preheat the oven to 350F degrees and line a baking sheet with parchment paper of a Silpat mat. Roll the dough out to 1/4 inch thickness on a lightly floured surface. Cut into whatever shapes you desire, and place on the prepared baking sheet. Sometimes I chill the dough in the freezer for another 10 minutes, it seems to help the cookies hold their shape - but you don't have to. Bake for about 10 minutes, or until the cookies are beginning to brown on the bottom. The baking time will vary depending on the size of the cookies, taking less time for smaller cookies.
