Solstice is coming!

I just heard about this community and love the idea! I'm posting my wishlist here, and I am going to attempt to fulfill as many wishes as I can! I truly love giving and even though I may not have much money, I love to do small things for people if I can - sending a letter or card, baking cookies, or crafting something.

My holiday wishes:

1. I'm addicted to books. Gift cards to Borders are always appreciated.

2. Or, I have a wishlist on Amazon too.

3. Along the lines of books, I'm always in need of more space. Ikea giftcards so that I can buy bookshelves are awesome.

4. One of my favorite things to do is craft. I love papercrafting, knitting, and sewing best of all, but I can rarely afford to spend money on supplies. A gift card to Joann's would allow me to get some creative energy out.

5. One of my best friends, labile, passed away very unexpectantly in July. She left behind a husband and an eight-year-old daughter. If you can spare a few dollars, make a contribution to her daughter's college fund.

6. Babylegs for my 2-month-old son, to keep his little legs warm this winter. :)

7. A nice serger.

8. Sweaters or long-sleeved t-shirts in somber colors - brown, gray, black, or dark green. I wear a size M.

9. Call up a friend that you haven't spoken to in awhile and catch up. You never know how much time you'll have with them.

I've heard a lot of people mention that site, but I haven't checked it out. TBH, I'm a tad bit intimidated by knitting patterns and try to stick to super simple projects, but I'm trying to slowly branch out into more challenging things.
I was looking at some babies legs, and I was just curious what your taste would be for the style? Color preference? Would something with skulls be acceptable? Or would you prefer something else on them? I'm having a hard time choosing!
Are you a member of Craftster? If not, you might want to check it out because it's a huge message board for all sorts of crafty people and there's all kinds of themed craft swaps and such as well. I think it's a lot of fun and it's good for crafty inspiration as well as talking crafts with people who get it. :)

Have a beautiful Solstice!
I am indeed! I don't lurk there regularly because all the amazing ideas are so overwhelming, but it's the first place I check for ideas when I'm formulating a plan. :)
